Wildlife Sites in Rushcliffe

New Wood, Bunny

How to get there:

A public footpath runs through the wood. There is roadside parking where the footpath crosses the Bunny - East Leake road.

Information:

A Local Wildlife Site of 13.9 hectares. Privately owned but it appears that few restrictions are made to responsible visitors. There is a generous field layer of Dog's Mercury and Bluebell, suggesting the wood is not so new after all. There are some very large old pollarded Oaks with Ash and Cherry.
