Fairham Brook Nature Reserve

How to get there:

Main point of access is from Clifton Lane at Fairham Bridge. The reserve is bounded to the south-east by Fairham Brook.

Information

This site is not actually in Rushcliffe but is close enough (the brook forms the boundary) and important enough to get a mention here. It is owned by Nottingham City Council and leased to Notts Wildlife Trust and is a relict lowland bog now largely dry and dominated by grassland and scrub but with pockets of dry reed bed and a flora that includes Great Burnet and Dropwort. A rare moth, the Cream-bordered Green Pea has been recorded here
