Accessible directly from the Barnstone to Granby Road or via footpaths in Barnstone and near Plungar.
Information:
4.7 hectares of disused railway of which 1.5 hectares at the northern end is the Barnstone Disused Railway SSSI. The designation was declared to protect the Four-spotted moth though that is now certainly extinct there but the whole site has good botanical interest with Upright Brome being well established. Common Toadflax and Hedge Bedstraw are well established and Black Spleenwort is abundant on some of the overbridges.
